Phil's Auto & Recreation Staff

Starting at the age of 15, working evening and weekends while going to school, Paul worked at Montieth Motors in Fredericton as a car mechanic. He worked in this field until 1987 when he was hired to work at Phils Auto. It was at this time that Paul began his career as a boat mechanic.

Over the years, Paul was certified to work on Mercury Marine, Mariner, Mercruiser, Evinrude, Johnson, Cobra, King Cobra, OMC, Force and Quicksilver. Paul also went to course for the new G2 Evinrude 4 stroke motors and has actually installed and worked on these new motors successfuly. Known to many in the boating world, Paul is very successful in trouble shooting and repairing issues that many others cannot. Heard it said more than once that "IF PAUL CAN'T FIX IT, IT CAN'T BE FIXED". Paul is a repairer, not a replacer.
Pauls experience comes from over 30 years working in this field working, for others such as Nautical Miles, Sheffield Boat yard and even on his own as owner/operator of Oromocto Sports and Pauls Marine, before returning back to Phils Auto. Today Paul is the head mechanic and Shop Foreman in the Service Department with Phil's Auto, overlooking your everyday service needs. Not only looking after the mechanical side, Paul is also very ept in fibreglass repair and electronic installs. Paul's 30 some years marine experience, as well as being an avid boater himself, makes him as knowledgeable of working on your older engines, as he is working on your current model years.  For Paul, no problem is too big or too small, no matter what the make or model.
